The "Terastal Festival" is a special expansion set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), released in Japan on December 6, 2024. As part of the annual "High Class Pack" series, this set is notable for its focus on Eevee and its evolutions, collectively known as the Eeveelutions, each featured as Pokémon ex cards.
The set comprises 187 cards before accounting for secret rares, with the main set primarily consisting of reprints of popular cards from 2023 and 2024. A significant highlight of "Terastal Festival" is its extensive collection of alternate art secret rares, a hallmark of High Class Pack sets. Each booster pack contains 10 cards, including a guaranteed Pokémon ex, enhancing the appeal for collectors and players alike.
The Terastal Festival Box Opening Adventure
The box sat on the table, gleaming in its vibrant packaging, exuding an air of mystery and excitement. Its design was reminiscent of the highly anticipated Prismatic Evolutions set, but its size and allure brought back memories of Shiny Treasure. It felt special, a little like holding a piece of Pokémon TCG history.
As we carefully unwrapped the box and peeled back the first pack, the excitement was palpable. The kids hovered nearby, eyes wide with anticipation. The first pull? A Pikachu card. While not the feature card, it was still a fan-favorite and an incredible way to kick things off.
Pack after pack, the magic kept coming. Leafeon and Flareon emerged next, their Terastal forms dazzling in the light. The kids were ecstatic—each card felt like a treasure, and the energy in the room was electric. By the fifth pack, their jaws were practically on the floor. "How are we hitting so many awesome cards?" one of them asked, barely able to contain their excitement.
When the last pack was opened, the table was a sea of color and sparkle. The kids grabbed their phones to look up the Terastal Festival chase cards, and everything suddenly clicked—it was an EX set! That explained the overwhelming number of hits.
Each booster box comes with a guaranteed Special Illustration Rare, but the surprises didn’t stop there. Among our pulls, we found a beautifully detailed full art, and a shiny Master Ball card. Add to that an impressive count of nine EX cards and a glittering Poké Ball, and it was clear we had just opened something extraordinary.
The artwork on each card was nothing short of breathtaking. Every illustration felt alive, capturing the essence of the Pokémon in vibrant detail. "This might be the best set we've ever opened," one of the kids said, admiring a full spread of cards on the table.
The Terastal Festival box didn’t just deliver cards; it delivered an unforgettable experience. From the sheer number of hits to the guaranteed pull in every pack, it was a journey of discovery, joy, and a reminder of why we love Pokémon TCG. This set wasn’t just a collection—it was a celebration.

The "Terastal Festival" set is expected to influence future English releases, with many of its cards anticipated to appear in upcoming expansions, such as "Prismatic Evolution," scheduled for release on January 17, 2025.
